The main drive of the study was evaluate the writing tasks and implementation of grade-11 students’ English textbook and its implement in relation to process of teaching writing. To achieve the objectives of this study, the researcher used descriptive research methods. To achieve the objective the researcher try to apply both qualitative and quantitative approach. .This study was focuses its upkeep to evaluating the writing tasks of grade-11 students’ English textbook and its implement in relation to process of teaching writing Student and teachers Insight towards the design of the writing tasks, together with how process method of teaching writing was employed with particular reference to Hoha No two Secondary and school which is located in South, BenishangulGumuz Regional State, Asossa Zone Oura woreda. In this woreda, there are five secondary schools. Sampling methodsin this thesis was use non random sampling method to select the target population that was all grade 11 students (56) and two English teacher as target population during the study. Toadaptthe adequate data, the researcher was used different instrumenttools, such as textbook analysis, questionnaire, interview and observation. From the data gathering tools, textbook analysis, students and teachers were use as sources for this study. Then, the data were analysed quantitatively and qualitatively and evaluated using the checklist for writing tasks. The findings revealed on inappropriateness of the objectives number and tasks, insufficient of motivational tasks for students and teachers in the writing sections, lack integration of reading texts and listening lecture with writing tasks. The conclusion made from the study is that the writing tasks in grade 11 textbook do not completely meet the standard set for communicative tasks and not sufficient emphasis is given in implementing these tasks. So, it is recommended that textbook writers should consider the five basic components of communicative tasks while designing tasks; teachers should play their role efficiently and implement the writing tasks in phases.
